The next step forward in Molbak's 66-year Woodinville history
Future home of Molbak's
Molbak’s Garden + Home is thrilled to announce The Gardens District, an exciting new chapter in our history that has been almost a decade in the making. For years, we’ve known that there would come a time when Molbak’s would need to rebuild its aging store. In 2015, we began working with the University of Washington Green Futures Lab and the community to carefully cultivate a reimagined downtown Woodinville—a thoughtful “City in a Garden” centered around a new Molbak’s retail store.
Our vision—now called The Gardens District—is becoming a reality. Molbak’s has brought together a team of experts in environmental design, urban planning, landscape architecture and green building. These partners share our vision for a thriving pedestrian-friendly downtown, built in harmony with the natural world. We are also working closely with the city of Woodinville to bring The Gardens District to life. The result will be a vibrant, sustainable, 20-acre town center where people can live, shop, dine, work and enjoy, all while connecting to nature and the wonderful sense of well-being it offers. Molbak’s new flagship store, just across Garden Way from our original, will be at the heart of this development.
We anticipate moving into our new store in 2025. While it is hard to say goodbye to the space that has served us so well for 66 years, we are truly excited about the new home that we are creating for our customers and the community. During construction, the original Molbak’s will be welcoming customers with normal operations. Please come in for a visit. Spring is in full bloom and garden inspiration is everywhere at Molbak’s.
